The present review article summarizes various aspects of its etiology, symptomatology, diagnostic methods, and various aspects of management. The disease need to be treated by a inter-disciplinary team including pediatricians, psychologists, sociologists etc and there is need to involve parents, school staff and if possible the children himself and must be based around the establishment of good working relationships with family and school.
